October 29, 2018 Destiny 2: Forsaken has had a massive launch.
Destiny 2 has followed the path of the original game almost too well - a mechanically excellent game lacking in content at launch gets an expansion one year later that its players fall in love with. The sequel has been doing very well since the launch of Forsaken, and well over half of active Destiny 2 players have bought into the expansion. Digital sales data for September suggests that over 60% of monthly active Destiny 2 players picked up Forsaken, and it’s led to the game topping the charts for the month - at least on consoles. On PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Destiny 2 brought in more money this month than Spider-Man, FIFA 19, and even Fortnite. That only applies to SuperData’s console rankings, however. On PC, Destiny 2 didn’t even crack the September top ten, though it’s a very different, and very worldwide market here. The battle royale rankings have reshuffled a bit since August, as PUBG brought in more money than Fortnite this time around. Other big winners on PC this month include World of Warcraft and Monster Hunter World.from PCGamesN https://ift.tt/2Rn5Ev3
