The Weeknd keeps the new music coming.

After teasing the track during his virtual TikTok concert earlier this month, the Canadian crooner teams up with Calvin Harris on their new collaboration “Over Now.” On the breakup tune, a coldhearted Abel breaks hearts and feels no remorse.

“I don’t really care if your tears fall down your face / You know you play the victim every time,” he sings over Harris’ breezy groove. “I need you to know that / We ain’t never gonna go back / This time it got so bad / It’s best for me / It’s best for you.”

“Over Now” follows The Weeknd’s recent collaborations with Juice WRLD (“Smile”) and Doja Cat (“In Your Eyes (Remix)”). In a new interview with Esquire, he shared his desire to write for a female artist. “I want to write a whole album for a female artist. I have a whole vision of the Weeknd,” he said.

But first, The Weeknd will perform at Sunday’s MTV VMAs, where he is nominated for six awards.
