If you knew me in high school and college, then you'd know that I have a very strong love for either wearing all black or one pop of color paired with other neutrals. It's not like I was afraid of bright colors, I still owned bright pink handbags and emerald green coats, but it was the mixing of said colors that I always shied away from. I admired color blocking from afar, but never had the guts to try the fun combinations. After I graduated and started experimenting with my style a little bit more in quarantine, I finally pulled the plug and decided to just go for it, because if not now, then when?

To make things easier for myself I decided to gather a slew of inspiration of fashion girls trying out different combinations that I'm itching to incorporate into my daily dressing, even if they sound a little strange at first. Pairing a bright blue with an even brighter green may sound a little off-putting, but once you give it a shot you'll open up yourself to endless outfit combinations waiting to be worn. See the fashion girl outfits I pulled for inspiration, along with some of my own to show you that If I can do it, you can do it too.

The richness of the brown pairs well with the subtle brightness of celery green. I have to admit, this was a combination I was hesitant about, but was confident when it all came together.
When this color combo came to mind, I couldn't help but think of the green and pink starbursts I used to hoard on Halloween. Seeing it in outfit form looks even better.
The bright yet cooled tone hues work together like magic.
Orange and yellow looks quite beautiful in the sunset, so why not pair them in an outfit? The colors lie next to each other on the color wheel, which is my trick for finding color combos that are sure to go with one another.
Blue and green are an obvious pairing, but if you turn the hues brighter to an teal and slime shade, they work together even better. I think this is going to have to be my color combo for the summer.
I already own green pants and a purple button-up, but I'd never think to pair them together. Clearly, I've been missing out.
