Sunset

The sun has set for Joseph Walter Jackson. The patriarch of the Jackson Family passed away this morning in Los Angeles, TMZ reports. He was 89.

Earlier this month, Joe was hospitalized due to terminal pancreatic cancer. Over the past few years, he has battled health issues including three heart attacks in 2015, complications of a high fever in 2016 and a car accident last year in Las Vegas.

Jackson is well-known for his strict parenting and managing practices, which helped spawned the successful careers of the The Jackson 5, his late son Michael Jackson and daughter, Janet Jackson. In over 60 years of marriage with wife, Katherine, the couple had ten children. Rest in peace.
