Bethesda has revealed more details about how Fallout 76’s base building systems will work. In a new trailer, posted last night on the Bethesda Softworks YouTube account (and which you can watch at the bottom of this article), the developers detailed the game’s building technology, a surprisingly compact machine referred to as C.A.M.P.
C.A.M.P. (which stands for Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform) is a new system allowing you to build anywhere in the world of Fallout 76. It seems that you’ll drop the CAMP anywhere you like, and then can set up your base within a certain radius of the unit (which you can see at the beginning of the trailer).
Fallout games feature heavily on our list of the best RPGs.
For the most part, the trailer offers very little (if anything at all) that we haven’t seen in any of the game’s previous trailers. That said, while Bethesda does seem to be cutting together previous footage for the game, there is at least a nice new Fallout-style voiceover to check out.
As an added bonus, there’s also another look at some Fallout 76 monsters, including the Beast of Grafton and the Scorchbeast, which will helpfully turn up to completely wreck your carefully constructed bases.
