“During a difficult few months in the winter of 2017, I spent long periods of time listening to some of my favorite artists, finding a refuge and connection in their music which I love so much. During this hard time I pushed and pulled with some of these inspirations which in turn help forge a new sound for Duumu. With a bit of the familiar but a whole new flavor, the goal was to push the boundaries of a sound which I had become so familiar with. Making something unique but that, in my mind, still pays homage to some of these songs I loved so much. Personally, Shifted is a track that tells the story of many shifts in my own life and how listening to the artists who inspired this song kept me going and kept me grounded.” -Duumu
