When asked which celebrity has the best holiday outfits, Anna Wintour said Kate Middleton. While I certainly don't disagree with her, I have to say that the duchess's late mother-in-law had some stellar winter style herself. We often talk about how influential her style continues to be, and her cold-weather looks are no exception.

I did some digging to find Princess Diana's best winter outfits, and I definitely struck gold. Of course, there were the requisite prim-and-proper coats which she wore at palace-sanctioned events: a beautiful red coat, a pretty camel version, and a pale blue one that adorably matched Prince Williams's coat. But my favorite look represented Princess Diana's more casual side: a red puffer she wore while skiing in Austria in the '90s. Scroll down to see and shop my four favorite Princess Diana winter looks.
