Whether I like it or not, summer is coming to an end. And before I bid adieu to my sandals and ice-cold drinks, it's high time I put together a few more outfits to make the most of the warm weather. I'm talking transitional dressing, friends, and there's no better way to accomplish that than by finding style inspiration from the fashion set.

Recently, I have been religiously following Lauren Caruso and Amrit Sidhu, two trendsetters with very different styles. Caruso, a freelance fashion editor and creative consultant, is the queen of neutral and ultra-polished 'fits. On the other hand, a scroll through Sidhu's feed gives you a jolt of color. (She's also a DJ, so prepare for some FOMO.) But the two have one big thing in common, and that's where they get their jewelry.

They both told me that the finishing touches to all of their outfits are lab-grown diamonds from Lightbox Jewelry. They turn to the jeweler for pieces they can wear both now and in the fall. What's a lab-grown diamond? They're diamonds grown by scientists in a lab. They share the same chemical makeup as natural diamonds and are optically identical. Aside from the way they're made, the biggest difference between lab-grown diamonds and natural diamonds is how rare they are. You can find out more details here, but in the meantime, check out how my fashionable friends are styling their favorite pieces for transitional dressing.

How are you transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall? I moved to Los Angeles in the spring, so transitioning my outfit from summer to fall will look quite different this year. Still, I'm excited to swap my shorts for wide-leg pants, my slides for ankle boots, and my layered chains for something with a bit more sparkle.  What was your best memory of summer 2021, and what are you looking forward to in the next season? I was lucky enough to head to Mexico with my boyfriend and his family for two (!!) weeks. Taking some time away from my laptop and to-do list was so essential. I'm looking forward to traveling a little more around California throughout the rest of the year.  How do you typically shop for jewelry?  Because my wardrobe is so neutral, I like to have a bit more fun with my jewelry. I usually look for traditional silhouettes like studs and pendants in eye-catching styles. Still, I'm selective in what I shop for, so it's really important that my jewelry is of the highest quality.
What is your favorite piece of jewelry, and how do you style it? I’m currently loving these lab-grown diamond studs from Lightbox. They layer beautifully with each other, and the blue style adds a touch of color to my otherwise minimalist wardrobe. Tell me about your day-to-day style and how you typically pick out your outfits.  Now that I'm not going into an office every day, I love to put comfort first, but that doesn't always mean sweats and a tank. I like to start with my top, which is usually some sort of button-down or ribbed tank. Then I move onto what I'm in the mood for on the bottom. Sometimes it's a denim skirt. Other times, it's a pair of high-waisted jeans. But it's always something neutral. I like to finish off my outfit with jewelry. My accessories are where I have a bit more fun with color, and I never leave the house without a stack of earrings and a necklace.
How are you transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall?  I'm really turning to a lot of oversize tailoring and chunky boots for fall. I spent the summer living in mini skirts and dresses, so I'm taking these essentials into my fall style by adding blazers, vests, and fun knit pieces. I also really love the summer mini dress with a fall boot.  What was your best memory of summer 2021, and what are you looking forward to in the next season?  Going on road trips with my girlfriends! The upside to slowing down and working remotely was getting to do more local travel for leisure—driving out to the desert, long dinners under the stars, reading with friends by the pool, being totally off the grid, and just enjoying each other's company. Most of my travel was always centered around work, so it was nice to experience that. I'm looking forward to safely finding excuses to get dressed up this upcoming season. How do you typically shop for jewelry? I always keep a good mix of fine jewelry in rotation—my usual collection includes a mix of a few chains, and I love to layer a hoop or a stud, like this lab-grown diamond from Lightbox Jewelry. For an unexpected twist, I'm wearing two studs in one ear and opted for a fun pink color instead of the traditional white.
What is your favorite piece of jewelry, and how do you style it?  I always love turning to a staple earring, but I like to jazz it up with some kind of color. Right now, a cushion stud in pink (or even blue) is how I'm adding sparkle to my look. Lightbox’s lab-grown diamonds are a great way to play with fun colors without compromising on quality or price.   . Tell me about your day-to-day style and how you typically pick out your outfits.  . Mini skirts, mesh dresses, wedge-thong sandals, cutesy hair clips, sheer silk summer dresses, and cottagecore have been the name of the game for me this summer. I always round out my look with classic jewelry.
Wear these with kelly green this season.
A staple you won't take off.
Everyone needs a pair of princess-cut studs.
Opt for blue if pink isn't your thing.
Another piece you'll wear every day.
