If we as superhero fans have learned anything, it’s that the lives of the characters we love are never easy. Take Ray Palmer, for instance: On last night’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow, “The Curse of the Earth Totem,” he showed heart by saving the life of Nora Darhk – only to get captured in the process. Go figure!
To further complicate matters, Damien Darhk and company are now in the wind with several Totems, even though the Waverider crew now have the Earth one in their possession. Still, the next few weeks will see a mad dash made by both sides as the other elusive artifacts are to be discovered.
On the plus side, though, the search for Ray may not be as strenuous as when he turns up missing in the comics. In those cases, various DC heroes have to brave the microverse, but we imagine this quest to be a bit more straightforward. Either way, Brandon Routh (Ray) gets to share some scenes with his real life wife in Courtney Ford (Nora).
Something else to look forward to is that of Wally West finally boarding the Waverider, an element that’s absent from the promo advertising next week’s episode. Already, we’ve seen him bonding with former captain Rip Hunter, with advance images confirming his arrival. And with all the team has been going through as of late, a speedster on their side could benefit them greatly.
For more on “No Country for Old Dads,” be sure to check out the official synopsis:
