I've been working outside due to the beautiful weather, I'm storing anything that has sleeves under my bed, and I'm putting my summer plans into motion—finally. Due to the past year of staying in and, well, really not doing much, it seems like everyone I talk to is eager to do the most this season. From trips with their families to hitting up their local hot spots, everyone's agendas are full, and no one is mad about it.

It was almost as though Longchamp could see me typing "best bag for summer" in my browser because the brand just dropped an extremely chic new collection: Le Pliage Green. The Le Pliage bag that every fashion person knows and loves just got a sustainable revamp and is now made from recycled nylon. And in the spirit of the new eco-friendly fabric, our editors (and longtime stans of Longchamp) are already ready to scoop up various versions of the bag to carry all their essentials for their sunny day plans—walking around the city, swimming at the beach, and carpooling to their next adventure. Here's a peek at their favorite new Le Pliage Green bags (and everything they're planning on toting with them this summer).

"As a former Florida girl, I'm used to it feeling like summer all year round and making my way to the nearest pool or beach any time the temperatures rise above 80º. Now that I have relocated to New York City, my summer personality has drastically changed. I'm constantly on the go in search of the newest pop-up shops, restaurants, and small businesses to explore in the city."

"Roaming around the city all summer means committing to a bag that can carry all of my essentials, match my outfits, and last the entire season. And the Le Pliage Green mini bag checks all the boxes and then some. First of all, it's more sustainably made, which is something I've become much more cautious about throughout the years. And second, it's perfect for housing all of my subway and city essentials in one chic pouch. I can confess to filling the bottom of my purse with miscellaneous items I don't need if the bag is too large (hello, outdated receipts and eye shadow palettes), so the mini bag definitely will keep me more organized."

"I live 15 minutes away from the beach (I'm lucky—I know!) in Los Angeles and try to go as often as possible in the summer. I'll rideshare down with friends, and we'll spend a full day there swimming in the ocean, biking on the strand, or lounging about. Oh, and don't even get me started on all the sunset-picnic opportunities. After all, the beach is one of the main reasons living in California is so amazing."

"I love a roomy tote that fits all of my beach-day essentials like my towel, my favorite sunscreen, a journal, and, of course, a snack. So this extra-large Le Pliage Green bag is a no-brainer for summer. Plus there's still room for my sunglasses, cover-up, and headscarf or hat when I inevitably want to run down to the water for a swim. Bonus: The pretty red color pairs well with all of my summer bikinis."

"Although I technically work in NYC, I live in the suburbs, so I don't take having a car lightly. My husband and I love to carpool on road trips with friends—whether it's a drive upstate to the Catskills or to Massachusetts because, in my book, local trips are underrated. Weekend adventures are my jam, and within an hour of research, I'll have an itinerary ready to go."

"My friends make jokes about my Le Pliage bag being a black hole because it somehow ends up fitting everything from my reusable water bottle and favorite sunglasses to even an extra pair of shoes. I'm really excited to add this new one to my collection because it's the first one that's made with more eco-friendly materials. Plus, it still has that timeless aesthetic to it that I know will go with anything I wear. Wherever my summer takes me, I know that this Le Pliage Green bag will most definitely be by my side (as always)."
